The story
Chalchiuhtlicue is the Aztec goddess of flowing waters, rivers, and fertility. Known as 'She of the Jade Skirt,' she presides over baptismal rituals and protects women and children. Though nurturing, she unleashed the flood that destroyed the Fourth World.
